Amapiano pioneers DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small have announced Scorpion Kings Live: A Family Affair, scheduled for September 19, 2026, at Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium. Following their massive 2025 Loftus Versfeld show, this event aims to host 70,000 fans, marking a historic milestone in the genre’s global cultural evolution.
What started as a long-awaited debut is now one of the most significant live music movements on the African continent. This is the next chapter of a story four years in the making.
Now, following that watershed moment at Loftus, the Kings are going even bigger. Scorpion Kings Live: A Family Affair heads to FNB Stadium, one of Africa’s most iconic sporting venues, affectionately known as The Calabash, for what is set to become the largest Amapiano concert in the world, with an anticipated audience of over 70,000 fans. The theme this year is intentional: A Family Affair. It speaks to the community at the heart of Amapiano; the artists, collaborators, and the fans who have carried the sound across borders and into new spaces. More than a headline, it’s a philosophy.
Fans can expect world-class production, an electrifying lineup, and an immersive experience that reflects the scale, influence, and reach of Amapiano today. Full lineup and ticketing details are still to be announced. Further announcements including this year’s lineup and ticketing will be revealed.
